Fiona schloss 2022 ihr Masterstudium der Molekular- und Zellbiologie an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München mit Auszeichnung ab und vollendete ihre Forschungsarbeit als Doktorandin der molekularen Neurobiologie. Ihre Forschung konzentrierte sich auf die Aufklärung der molekularen Mechanismen und Signalkreislauf-Signaturen, die zwei spezifischen genetischen Mikrodeletionssyndromen zugrunde liegen.
Seit Dezember 2025 ist sie Teil des Teams von Mewburn Ellis.
