Hintergrund
Kara hat an der University of Stirling einen Bachelor-Abschluss mit Auszeichnung („with Honours“) in Computing Science erworben. Für ihre Abschlussarbeit entwickelte sie eine Schnittstelle (API) zwischen einem AGV‑Flottenplanungsalgorithmus und einem Lagernavigationsystem, um die Rechenlast der Pfadplanung zu reduzieren. Das Projekt wurde mit einer Auszeichnung (‚distinction‘) bewertet, und Kara erhielt den Preis für die beste Studentin im letzten Studienjahr.
Sie arbeitete anschließend als Softwareentwicklerin für ein Berliner Start‑up, das KI‑basierte Softwarelösungen für Robotik bereitstellt. Karas besondere Forschungsinteressen liegen im Bereich des maschinellen Lernens für chirurgische Robotik.
Kara schloss sich im Jahr 2024 Mewburn Ellis LLP an.
