Sustainability was a major driving force behind our move to 8 Bishopsgate. It’s not just an impressive address, it’s one of the most environmentally advanced buildings in London. Designed from the ground up with the future in mind, it sets a new standard for what a truly sustainable workplace can look like.

This move is also an important milestone in our ongoing journey to reduce our environmental impact. It builds on the momentum of our award-winning sustainability programme and reflects our commitment to making meaningful, long-term changes — not just in how we work, but where we work too.

 

'Outstanding' on the BREEAM scale

One of only a handful of towers in the UK to achieve this top sustainability rating. Every inch of the building is designed with the environment in mind. We have worked hard to use sustainable materials in the way we have designed our floor too.

Powered by 100% renewable energy

The building runs on clean energy and features smart systems that dramatically reduce energy consumption.

Sustainable water & waste systems

From reduced water usage to top-tier recycling infrastructure, it helps us all make more sustainable choices every day.

We have 9 different waste streams in our kitchens to ensure we are effectively recycling. We are targeting a recycling rate of 90% for our floor.

Natural light & air quality

Designed to maximise wellbeing and productivity, the space floods with light and includes air-filtration systems that keep us feeling fresh and focused.

Some of Our Sustainable Choices

Hand Care

We use Noble Isle hand care products in our bathrooms. They are created using natural, sustainable ingredients sourced from the British Isles.

The packaging is fully recyclable and the formulations are created using sustainable ingredients.

Cruelty free, paraben free and vegan friendly, these products are wonderful to use  and smell amazing, but importantly don't compromise on ethics. 

We have 'Rhubarb Rhubarb' as our fragrance of choice. This bittersweet, tart and green fragrance is a combination of crushed Tarragon and muddled Rosemary, complemented by the rich aromatic notes of fresh, bitter rhubarb.

Noble Isle also share our charitable values. They support The Hygiene Bank and Clean Conscience and donate 10% of their hand sanitiser sales to the NHS.

Period Care

We provide period products in our bathrooms and we specifically use the word 'period' to break down taboos around period care.

We've chosen to use Grace & Green products because they are organic, consciously crafted with certified organic cotton and bamboo and are biodegradable.

They are also toxin-free, made without fragrances, dyes, chlorine bleaches and other toxic chemicals as well as being hypoallergenic, making them comfortable, super soft and suitable for all skin types. 

Grace & Green are the highest ranking B Corp in period care and leading the way in this important area. They want to break the cycle of period waste, tackle period poverty and end stigma.

Silk Flowers

We use Indelible Bouquet to provide beautiful silk flowers in our office. 

We made the switch to silk to provide the same beautiful lifelike effect, but with reduced environmental impact.

Growing fresh flowers is water-intensive and uses chemicals and pesticides. They are often imported from countries like Kenya, Ecuador and Colombia so the carbon footprint is high.

Silk flowers can be reused many times and when they come to the end of their corporate life Indelible Bouquet
