We are recruiting for a Credit Account Executive to join our Credit Control team in Bristol. If successful you will receive full training to bring you up to speed with the requirements of the role. This is a great opportunity to join the finance team in one of Europe’s top specialist Intellectual Property firms.

This is a broad role and we are seeking a candidate who is keen to develop their skills in credit control and is confident in dealing directly with clients, Paralegals and Partners.

The role

You will be responsible for part of our foreign currency client ledger. The primary focus of this role is prevention of bad debts by encouraging good credit practices throughout the firm whilst maximising cash flow and minimising debtor days for the client accounts under your control.

You will be required to work closely with the Partners of the firm and their teams, advising them on the credit policy and helping to resolve queries. You will be responsible for building and maintaining both internal and long-standing external relationships, whilst managing all aspects of your client’s accounts, including ensuring the master data remains up to date.

About you

You will have experience of credit control, preferably within a law firm, intellectual property firm, or similar professional services environment. With an ability to demonstrate managing your own workload, taking responsibility for tasks being completed accurately and in a timely manner using your own initiative

Good communication skills, both written and verbal will be essential to this role, and you will be able to proactively identify and solve problems using high level of attention to detail.

You will be able to deliver excellent client service, with an aim to maintain strong, healthy client relationships demonstrating an ability to approach scenarios with flexibility and adaptability.

Candidates must have good IT skills and be familiar with all MS Office packages. We use a range of in-house IT systems and workflows so the ability to learn and utilise new systems and processes is important.
