We are proud to announce that we have been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Development.
New for this year, the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Development List celebrates companies making employee development a key part of company culture, empowering people to learn, build new skills and progress in ways that are meaningful to them. It recognises that development is not one-size-fits-all, and highlights employers who actively support everyone in shaping their own unique journey.
Mewburn’s place on this exclusive list officially acknowledges one of our core values: we are Trained for Excellence. We are committed to development, innovation and people growth through offering clear and transparent career pathways for both attorneys and business services teams, regular performance and development conversations, a wide range of learning opportunities, and open visibility of internal roles. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to perform at their best.
Our people are encouraged to pursue both professional and personal development to help them reach their full potential aligned to their career aspirations. We understand that ambitions can change over time, which is why we prioritise regular and meaningful career conversations. Alongside this, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, where everyone has equal access to learning, development and progression opportunities that continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development List, Great Place to Work® reviewed our culture, benefits, approach to leadership and development, alongside anonymous responses from our people. They then used these data insights to benchmark Mewburn’s people value proposition against the culture our people experience. Only the businesses achieving the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
This achievement is just one part of Mewburn Ellis’s wider commitment to building a positive, forward-looking culture. The firm is passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can learn, grow and thrive, championed by initiatives like our Inclusion & Diversity Collaboration Group, which helps shape an open and supportive environment. Development is also at the heart of our acclaimed Trainee Placement Scheme, giving early-career professionals a strong foundation to flourish. At the same time, our responsibility to the planet is reflected in our sustainability efforts, including being awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing us in the top 1% of companies assessed. It all adds up to a culture that goes beyond personal development, one that values people, purpose and the planet.
