On Thursday 24 September 2026, we were delighted to welcome researchers, innovators, investors, manufacturers and industry leaders from across the battery ecosystem for Powering What's Next: Europe's Battery & Energy Opportunity networking and panel discussion event, in our London office.

The discussion was chaired by:
- Aaron Wade, championing the battery community and the future of energy.
Overlooking the London skyline, our panel explored Europe's role in the future battery landscape, with particular focus on emerging market opportunities, commercialisation challenges and the importance of collaboration across the ecosystem.
A recurring theme was that commercial success depends on more than innovative technology alone. The panel highlighted the need to understand market needs, engage end users early and develop clear routes to market. There was also optimism about Europe's ability to lead in next generation battery technologies and specialist applications where performance, resilience and safety are key differentiators.
The strongest message from the evening was the value of bringing together academia, industry, investors and end users. As the battery sector continues to evolve, strong connections across the ecosystem will be essential to turning innovation into impact.
