London office announces support for London’s Air Ambulance Charity

We’re proud to announce that our London office has selected London’s Air Ambulance Charity as its chosen charity for the next two years. We’ve committed to a donation of £25,000 this financial year. Alongside this, our team will be exploring ways to fundraise and raise awareness throughout the year.

London’s Air Ambulance Charity provides the capital’s only helicopter emergency medical service, delivering hospital-level care at the scene of traumatic incidents. Their expert teams of doctors, paramedics and pilots are uniquely equipped to save lives where others can’t; responding to emergencies such as road traffic accidents, falls from height, and cardiac arrests.

Operating in partnership with Barts Health NHS Trust and the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, the charity has treated over 50,000 patients in its 36-year history, including responses to major incidents such as 7/7, the Grenfell Tower fire, and the London Bridge terror attack. In 2024 alone, they treated 2,058 patients, the highest number in their history.

Our donation will help fund:

  • Rapid response missions across London, ensuring medics reach patients within minutes - helicopters can reach any location inside the M25 in under 11 minutes.
  • Advanced medical procedures at the scene, including open chest surgery and blood transfusions, which are often critical to survival.
  • Training and equipment for specialist teams, enabling them to deliver world-class care 24/7, 365 days a year.

With 95% of their £17 million annual operating costs funded by public support, our contribution will directly help London’s Air Ambulance Charity continue to deliver life-saving care and expand their reach. Every mission costs around £2,600, and helicopter deployments average £6,600. Our support will help fund dozens of these critical interventions. We’re proud to stand behind a charity that brings hope to Londoners on their worst days and believe that every life deserves the best chance.

“We’re honoured to support London’s Air Ambulance Charity this year. Their work resonates deeply with our values and our commitment to making a meaningful impact in our community. We look forward to getting involved and helping raise awareness and funds for this incredible cause,” said Maria Hall, Community Champion at Mewburn Ellis.

Jonathan Jenkins, CEO of London’s Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Our service could not run without the support of London and the businesses and communities within it. With Mewburn Ellis’s commitment to raise vital funds and awareness for our charity, we will continue to serve the city 24/7, 365 days a year – bringing complex medical care to the scene on the worst day of someone’s life. Thank you – with your support, we can be here to bring hope to every emergency.”
