London office selects The National Brain Appeal as their chosen charity to support.

This year, our team in London have voted for The National Brain Appeal as their office charity. We have made a £15,000 donation to the charity for this financial year and a commitment to donate a further £15,000 next year. Our people will also be looking at ways to fundraise to add to this donation throughout the year.

The National Brain Appeal raises funds for The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology – together known as Queen Square. This is one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions. These include stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.

Their vision is to improve the outcome and quality of life for the one in six affected by a neurological condition. They do this by funding pioneering research, providing access to the best technology for expert diagnosis and treatment, and training tomorrow’s clinicians. Funding is grouped into six distinct areas so that the impact of donations can be easily seen.

The National Brain Appeal is proud to be a member of The Neurological Alliance sharing their key aim − wanting to transform outcomes for people with a neurological condition. The Neurological Alliance provides a valuable insight into the lived experiences of people with neuro conditions and acts a collective voice for UK neuro charities to effect a change in policies that benefit those affected.

Our donation will be used to support the charity’s ‘Innovation Fund’ which provides vital seed-funding for cutting-edge projects led by world-leading researchers and clinicians at Queen Square. You can find out more about their projects to date on their website here and we look forward to supporting new and exciting inventions in this important field.

We are honoured that The National Brain Appeal has been chosen by Mewburn Ellis to be its a charity partner. One in six people in this country is affected by a neurological or neurodegenerative condition, but through the kindness and support of partners such as Mewburn Ellis, we can continue to pursue our goal of transforming life for the millions of people affected,” said Charles Keep, Head of Fundraising at The National Brain Appeal.

"We're delighted to be supporting The National Brain Appeal this year. Their work aligns with some of the technology areas in which we work and the values of our people, many of which are passionate about helping those with neurological conditions. We are looking forward to getting involved with this important charity," said Maria Hall, Community Champion at Mewburn Ellis.
