Mewburn Ellis donate £300,000 to charity partnerships for 2025/2026 — over £1.3M donated since 2020

Today marks International Day of Charity (5 September) and since 2020, we’ve donated over £1.3M to charity so far, including £300K in 2025, through our Forward Community Programme Charity Fund reinforcing our belief that charity is not just a commitment, it’s part of who we are.

We donate 1% of our profits annually, and our giving is structured across both firmwide and local office levels to ensure maximum impact in the industries and communities in which we operate.

Some highlights from 2025/2026:

  • £40,000 to National Literacy Trust, helping raise literacy across the UK and put libraries into schools that don’t have them
  • £30,000 to Wellbeing of Women, picked by our Women’s committee, Wellbeing of Woman invest into much needed medical research – leading to major breakthroughs.
  • £10,000 to Thousand Year trust, selected by our sustainability group, they are the only UK charity dedicated to the restoration of our temperate rainforest landscapes.

All our donations reflect our commitment to causes that matter to us as a firm and to our people, from youth empowerment and sustainability to emergency response and community safety.

Mewburn Ellis Community Champion Maria Hall comments:

“This International Day of Charity, we celebrate the incredible work of our charity partners and the impact they’re making in communities across the UK. Whether it’s helping young people find purpose, responding to life-threatening emergencies, or tackling environmental challenges, we’re proud to stand alongside organisations that share our values. Our Forward Community Programme is embedded in our firm’s culture, growing with us, shaped by our people, and focused on creating lasting change.”

Alongside financial support, everyone at Mewburn Ellis receives one community day per year to support causes of their choosing and the firm match their personal fund raising efforts. We also champion gender equality, sustainability, and inclusion and diversity through our employee networks, including the WoMEn of Mewburn Ellis Network, the I&D Collaboration Group, and the LGBTQ+ME Group.
