Charles works with a variety of clients ranging from universities, research institutes, large pharmaceutical companies and SMEs.
Background
Charles has both a Masters degree and a PhD in Chemistry, both from the University of Bristol. During his undergraduate and PhD studies, Charles undertook industrial placements at two large pharmaceutical companies (GSK and Novartis), where he worked as a Medicinal Chemist. He also undertook a 3 month research sabbatical at Osaka University, Japan during the course of his PhD studies. Charles qualified as a European Patent Attorney in June 2019 and as a Charted Patent Attorney in 2020. He joined Mewburn Ellis LLP in 2020, having previously worked at two other IP firms.
