IP Support, Legal Assistant

Frederick (Fred) assists the firm's Solicitors and Litigators in all aspects of the litigation process. This includes research into case law and court formalities, analysis of the law and considerations within a case, as well as all formalities such as checking Civil Procedure Rules, pulling together bundles, disclosure and preparing necessary documentation. He also handles letters and correspondence in a dispute and has assisted with every major litigation case that the firm has run since joining in 2019.

Fred enjoys the intricacies, logic and puzzles associated with the law that he encounters when working on a dispute case, but equally he gets immense satisfaction from dealing with the more straightforward formalities work necessary to ensure client’s IP rights are fully protected. He is particularly skilled at being able to get quickly and directly to the core/essence of something and he delivers high quality results.

Fred is the primary point of contact for the Assignment function in the firm. He is responsible for advising on entitlement and preparing and drafting the Assignment documentation used for both the entitlement/inventorship process as well as the recordal of transfer of property and rights between entities.
