She takes great interest in the backgrounds of her clients and their plans for the future, so that she can best support the strategic development of their intellectual property and secure their competitive advantage. From advising on new brand names prior to launch to tackling counterfeit products, overcoming obstacles to registration and defending against attack she has come into contact with a broad range of IP issues, both contentious and non-contentious.
Joanne has extensive experience of global trade mark portfolio management and enforcement of intellectual property rights in many fields, so is well-placed to advise on a broad range of trade mark issues within their particular commercial context.

Background
Joanne joined the trade mark profession in 1997, qualifying as a trade mark attorney in 2002. In addition to a Law degree she holds an IP Litigation Certificate and is qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
