Areas of Expertise
Background
Liam has experience in handling a wide range of intellectual property disputes, from copyright matters to complex patent litigation. He has assisted clients across multiple forums, including the newly established Unified Patent Court (UPC), and has particular expertise in managing and coordinating pan-European enforcement strategies within the life sciences sector.
Before joining Mewburn Ellis and before qualifying as a solicitor, Liam worked as a litigation paralegal at another leading IP firm for several years. Alongside this role, he undertook his legal qualifications and qualified as a UK solicitor in November 2025, a route that reflects his determination and strong work ethic; qualities that underpin his approach to client service.
Outside the office, Liam is passionate about sport. In his spare time, he enjoys playing rugby and is always looking for his next physical challenge. Having completed his first ultramarathon in summer 2025 his next goal is to conquer a full Ironman.
