Rachael is an experienced patent paralegal who delivers meticulous, client-focused patent administration and portfolio management. She has designed and run bespoke patent administration processes tailored to clients’ needs. As a reliable point of contact she reduces administrative burden, improves deadline certainty and delivers a high standard of client service. She is practiced at integrating with external counsel and internal teams to create a seamless, high-quality IP operation.

  • Patent filings and prosecution: UK, European (EPO), PCT and national phase management across key jurisdictions.
  • National phase worldwide: Coordinating instructions, translations, and formalities with trusted foreign associates.
  • UK and EPO grant procedures: Managing grant workflows, oppositions, and post-grant formalities.
  • Client service excellence: Custom docketing, proactive communications, and bespoke portfolio management.

Rachael specialises in delivering exceptional client service for multinational organisations. She works with a range of clients from large companies and law firms to start-ups and individual innovators. She has experience working with clients worldwide including in Europe, Japan, US and Singapore.

Background

Rachael has an LLB International Law from University of Hull, which included a year studying at Tilburg University in The Netherlands, an MA Human Rights from University of Manchester and a CIPA certificate in Patent Administration. 

She joined Mewburn Ellis in 2018.
