Simon is a trainee patent attorney working as part of the Engineering practice group.

Simon holds an MSc in Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). His master’s thesis focused on quantum reinforcement learning, exploring the intersection of quantum computing and AI.

He previously worked as an AI Software Engineer at a startup developing autonomous driving solutions for commercial vehicles used in agriculture, mining, and logistics. His responsibilities included working on deep learning models in Python and C++, as well as deployment using ROS2. He also gained experience in industrial automation as a working student at a large international company.

He joined Mewburn Ellis in 2025.
