TARA FITZ GERALD
Tara is a member of the engineering patent team, working primarily in the mechanical engineering, medical device and consumer products sectors. She has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications at the EPO and the UKIPO, as well as opinion and opposition work. Tara has also handled design matters at the UKIPO and the EUIPO.

Tara works for clients ranging from start-ups to large multinational companies, primarily from the UK, Europe and the US.
Tara has an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. Her Masters project involved mathematically modelling the KLF to eNOS gene regulatory network in atherosclerosis. Prior to joining the patent profession, she worked in industry R&D as an engineer for a company specialising in consumer diagnostic products. Tara qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2018 and joined Mewburn Ellis in 2019 after working for another London based IP firm.
