On Tuesday 3 June 2026, we were delighted to host our in-person panel discussion and networking event ‘Medical Technologies: From Concept to Patient Care’, bringing together key voices from across the MedTech ecosystem to share insights on turning innovation into real patient impact.

The event featured an impressive panel of industry experts::

  • Chris Hancock – CTO and Founder of Creo Medical

  • Dr Neville Young – Director of Enterprise and Innovation at Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber

  • David Hawkins – CTO, Co-Founder and Principal Consultant at Sotas

Chaired by Andrew Mears, discussions explored the journey of new medical technologies, from early concept through to deployment in healthcare, offering valuable perspectives from across the ecosystem. We also covered topics such as how to foster innovation in a clinical setting, regulatory pathways, and commercialisation strategies.

The session was followed by a networking reception, where guests continued conversations over drinks and a selection of canapés. A strong sense of energy and engagement carried through the evening, with attendees actively sharing ideas and experiences. A key theme emerging from the discussion was the importance of building a robust network of advisors to support the complex journey to clinical adoption.

Overall, the event was a great success, generating thoughtful discussion and valuable networking across the MedTech community. The quality of the panel and the enthusiasm of attendees contributed to an engaging and impactful evening.
