Alison works mainly in the pharmaceutical field but also has experience in food and beverage additives and materials. Alison is experienced in the drafting and prosecution of UK and European patents as well as carrying out freedom-to-operate, validity and infringement, and due diligence analyses. She also works on the filing, management and national/regional phase entry of international patent applications.

Background
Alison has an MChem from the University of St Andrews with an industrial placement year at GSK, Stevenage. Her DPhil is from the University of Oxford, focussing on developing new methods of synthesising asymmetric molecules with axial chirality.
Alison joined Mewburn Ellis in 2019, qualifying as a Chartered UK Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2023.
