We are delighted to announce the relocation of our London office to the landmark eco-friendly tower 8 Bishopsgate, marking our next step on our journey to minimise its environmental impact and build a more sustainable future. This move is a key part of our broader strategic vision for growth and innovation and to provide great working facilities for our people, combined with a deeper connection to environmental responsibilities.
8 Bishopsgate is the tallest commercial building to have an “A” Energy Performance Certificate, and has also been ranked ‘Outstanding’ on the BREEAM scale, the highest certification achievable. BREEAM is widely recognised as one of world’s leading sustainability assessment methods for infrastructure due to its scientifically based sustainability measures which cover a range of environmental issues.
Powered entirely by renewable electricity and meeting 60% of its annual heating needs by recycling heat rejected from its cooling system – the firm’s new London office building sets new standards for sustainability. The building also boasts 30% less structural carbon than the London tall buildings benchmark and the highest solar panels in London.

Richard Clegg, Managing Partner at Mewburn Ellis comments:
"Our move to this innovative building represents more than a change of address – it is a huge step forward in growth for the firm. Not only does this new space support greater collaboration across teams, and enhances our ability to serve clients at the highest level, it also aligns perfectly with our ongoing mission to minimise our environmental impact and contribute to a greener future. We are proud to move to a building with such excellent environmental credentials, reflecting the latest in green innovation and sustainable design."
This move is another step in our journey to reduce our environmental impact, alongside our award-winning sustainability programme. Last year, we became the first intellectual property firm to receive the prestigious EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing it in the top 1% of all companies assessed worldwide. The firm also achieved a CDP score ‘B’ – the highest score achievable for an SME – highlighting the work done by the firm’s Sustainability Collaboration Group to advance its progress to achieve net-zero by 2050.
