On Wednesday 25 February 2025, Mewburn hosted a panel discussion and networking event: Quantum Tech Scale-Up: Lessons from Founders, Funders & Experts, where we brought together key stakeholders from the quantum space to share insights and experiences crucial to innovators operating in this space.
This event brought together industry leaders from across the quantum commercial ecosystem and we were joined by an impressive panel of well-known figures within the quantum tech space in the UK, Germany and Denmark:

Our hosts for the evening were Andrew Fearnside and Urs Ferber. After a warm welcome and introduction by Urs, Andrew and Urs jointly moderated the 60-minute panel session. The panel explored themes including: ‘from lab to market’, ‘funding and investment’, ‘government and ecosystem support’, ‘IP and competitive advantage’, and ‘lessons learned along the way’.
The session was followed by a relaxed and engaging networking session, alongside excellent canapés and desserts. Amongst the drinks on offer were quantum-themed craft beers from the Atom Brewery, which proved to be very popular with guests.
Overall, the event was a great success, sparking insightful discussion on scaling quantum innovation and bringing together key players from across the ecosystem. The engaging panel and relaxed networking made for an inspiring evening that strengthened connections across the quantum community.
